On October 28, 2023  the Middleridge Civic Association (MCA) held its first Halloween Lighting Contest. The rules were simple – the best house wins and a single runner-up is selected.

Many thanks to our volunteer judges: the Steve Williams Family,  the Julie Merante family, John Tedrick, and John Bayer.  A number of other families also offered their time and effort to judge but we were unable to accommodate everyone who volunteered.

The winners, who received cash prizes, of the event were: Mark & Lisa Olsen, 10812 Broadwater Drive; the runner ups were Doug & Natalie Wooten, 10944 Keys Court.

We also had several honorable mentions:  the Van Dykes, 10800 James Halley Dr;  the Rheingans, 10954 Keys Ct;  the Stasnys, 10816 Paynes Church Dr;  and several along Stanhope Pl – the Gonzles at 10710; the Landrys at 10803; and the Rudys at 10806.  Finally, the home with the scariest display was the Arrayas at 5401 Earps Corner Pl.
