Executive Board Meeting — November 3, 2016 at 7:00PM at the home of Steve & Catie Morales

Call to Order: by Mike Torrey at 7:10PM

Members Present: Mike Torrey (President), Tim Henderson (Vice President), John Tedrick
(Treasurer), Brad Koch (Secretary), Mary Vander Maten (Past President), Catie Morales (Newsletter
Editor, and Past President)

Review of Minutes: Brad Koch – 2 corrections, approved as amended

Treasurer’s Report: John Tedrick
Advertising down $150 for 2 months, need $300 in ads to meet projections
 Total Planned Income to Date: $20,920.67
 Actual Income to Date: $21,593.25
 Total Planned Expenses to Date: $17,369.33
 Actual Expenses to Date: $17,038.26
 EOY Projected Reserve: $708.66

Membership Committee: 336 members as of Oct 18th

 Server/Website, Next Door Middleridge, member survey – Joe Landry and Kim Nelson – Survey
completed (60 responses)
 Dog waste receptacle with bags—Park Authority comes to pick it up-update – potential location
on empty lot at Broadwater (near Paynes Church); Catie contacted Park Authority to find out if
they will empty
 Book exchange where people can exchange reading material (potential location on empty
lot at Broadwater (near Paynes Church) update – research purchasing a box (Little Library)
or building one. Put in next newsletter.

Past Events (Recap)
 Dumpster Date – Oct 15th, Rick Jones (last year)
 Community Meeting on Oct 12th with Supervisor Cook: MCA President & VP attended – discussion
on the meals tax
 Halloween Parade – Oct 29th, Grace Tedrick, Anna & Caroline Albert – Great turnout for parade

Continuing Business – Upcoming Events
 Feed the Firefighters? – Need POC – Need to select firehouse, look into partnering with FCE,
MCA to provide main dish and neighbors to provide sides
 Christmas Judging – Dec 17th 6-10PM (18th rain day) POC Al and Sandy Obuchowski
 Luminaire Sand – Date? – Determine contractor to donate sand (Yard Enhancements?)
 Santa Visit – Dec 18th – Need to buy candy and provide to Burke Volunteer FD prior

New Business
 Recycling and Trash update: MCA President has spoken with Republic and American and is negotiating
rates for MCA members
