“What a heart-warming treat on Saturday, when a knock on my door was by a young, well spoken Cub Scout who presented me with a bag of wonderful cards from the MCA Board, you and your family, and several thoughtful young folks.  I knew this treat was coming, but it was still special to see several parents and their uniformed Scouts honoring a Veteran neighbor.  Then one Cub Scout (seemingly designated or in charge) delivered a sincere “Thank you for your Service” speech ending with a beautiful salute.  WOW!  I came to attention and returned the young man’s salute — certainly among the finest salutes I’ve ever received.  Thank you for making that moment possible for me and that young neighborhood Scout.  It touched me deeply!”
