Continuing Business—Issues and Updates

• MCA 2017-2018 officer elections (quorum met – 27 members/25 required):
o Mike Torrey elected president

• Braddock District Update: Ann Sharp, Senior Legislative Aide for Constituent Services
Ms. Sharp attended the meeting, representing John Cook, who was unable to attend. Several members asked questions about the VDOT paving schedule, storm drain maintenance and the right hand turn into University Mall without a dedicated lane.

• Little Library-Tim Harazin said that the library is built and the sign is ordered. Once the sign is received the library will be ready to install. Tim anticipates that the library will be installed by the end of June.

Continuing Business—Upcoming Events
• Spring community yard sale- April 29th POC: Erick Arraya
The community yard sale was a great success, with the largest number of participants yet.
• Home and Garden Tour- July 8 1-4pm POC: Mary Vander Maten
More homes are still needed
• NNO- Aug 1 6-8pm POC: Catie Morales
Need lots of help to hold the event
• Family Movie Night- Sept 2 8:45pm (dusk) POC: Catie Morales and FCE
Joint event with Fairfax Club Estates held in the FCE pool parking lot.
