2023 Dumpster and Donation Day

On Saturday, September 30, the Annual Dumpster and Donation Day was planned for 8am until 12pm, or until dumpsters were full. MCA and Fairfax Club Estates hosted the event in the Fairfax Club Estates Pool parking lot off Snowy Owl Drive.

The dumpsters quickly filled at this favorite annual event. By 10am, both dumpsters brimmed with discarded items. Volunteers stayed until 11am to collect donations, shutting down an hour early due to the early success of the event.

Typically planned for one week after the community yard sale, many Middleridge residents use Dumpster and Donation Day as an opportunity to “unload” unsold items  However, unlike the yard sale, this event is only for members of Middleridge Civic Association and residents of Fairfax Club Estates.

The restrictions were largely the same as last year:

Dumpsters items we DID accept included:
— wood, metal, plastic
— card board, paper (files)
— yard waste, clean dirt, concrete
— construction & demolition debris (not contaminated)
— furniture (inside or outside); box springs are ok

— hazardous waste (to include: oil / oil filters, fuel, paint, antifreeze, batteries, light bulbs (fluorescent/LED/filament), medical waste, asbestos materials, fuel / propane tanks or drums, etc…
