The MCA / FCE Dumpster and Donation Day was another great success. MCA had 44
families participate and FCE had 19 families participate. We filled one Dumpster and
three/quarters of a second, and we had two and one/half pickup trucks worth of Donation items
that we dropped off at the University Mall GreenDrop site.

After a slow start, we had fourteen volunteers come out to support this event. From FCE we
had: Tracy Chapman and her son with a pickup truck that was a HUGE support for the Donation
portion, and Stephanie and Jack Koch. And a huge thank you to FCE and Travis Brown for
letting us use their pool parking lot and pool restrooms. From MCA we had: David, Maryn, and
Gidon (honorary leader for the day) Simon, Ralph Pick, Bill Prodo, Bob Shaver, Alan Pachter,
John Altounian, Josh Kaufman, and Mike and Matthew Anttila.

In addition, we want to thank Dumpsters Today and Angela for their fifth year supporting our
event. Angela has been amazing to work with, has kept our prices very reasonable, and even
came by for the drop off with Donahue the driver supporting our event these last five years.

Finally, MCA is looking for someone new to manage this event in 2027. The preparation
effort is very easy, and the event day is a fun time meeting and laughing as we support both
communities with this valuable service. We have all the instructions, coordination actions, and
layout diagrams to ensure a successful event. Please contact John Bayer
(mca.jmbayer@gmail.com) if you can support.
