DESCRIPTION:Middleridge Civic Association \nSeptember Executive Board Meeting—September 14\, 2017 at Mary Vander Maten’s home \n  \nCall to Order:  7:03pm \n  \nMembers Present: Mike Torrey\, Al Obuchowski\, Sandy Obuchowski\, Rick Jones\, Catie Morales\, \nJohn Tedrick\, Kim Nelson\, Mary Vander Maten\, and Tim Harazin \n  \nReview of Minutes: (Brad Koch not present)\, minutes from August meeting read by Tim    Approved \n  \nTreasurer’s Report: John Tedrick \n\nchecks sent for NNO expenses\, but amusements billed credit card—double-charge fixed\n\ncheck from FCE on its way\n\n\nUnited Bank (acquired Cardinal Bank) no longer has bill-pay service—this makes accounting more time-consuming because it doesn’t automatically correlate with Quicken; early monthly reports may need occasional minor adjustments after checks clear\nwe are meeting our goals for ad revenue\n$175 allocated for community yard sale\n\n  \nMembership Committee: Al and Sandy Obuchowski \n\n378 current members; 264 members for 2018\nearly bird drawing for two $25 gift cards\n\nJoe and Frances Lieb–10744 John Turley and Mark and Rosario Sigler–10739 John Turley\n\n\n\n  \nOther Committee Reports: \n\nWebmaster/Server Update—Kim Nelson and Joe Landry\n\n–website working fine\, no complaints;           Joe still working on membership area \n–how should web updates be handled? \n\nsend updates to Kim webmaster@middleridgefx.com and CC Catie after meetings\n\n–blog posts about events should include date at the top to sort events by date \n–Kim needs FAQ info to post on web \n–web/e-mail code of conduct (provided by Vernon Campbell) \n\nask Joe to set up member log-in so code of conduct must appear when anyone signs up\ncode of conduct will also be sent out through the e-mail exchange\nstatement will be inserted at the bottom of e-mail exchange messages–“by utilizing this email exchange\, you agree to follow our code of conduct”\n\n\nWelcoming—Carolyn Vaughan\n\n–Carolyn sent report of new homes visited \n–we should follow-up with new homes to remind them to become members \n\nNewsletter—Catie Morales\n\n–it was agreed that past issues of newsletter should be posted only in member section \n\nNeighborhood Watch—Vernon Campbell\n\n–schedule through December has been sent out \n–materials are now at the end of his driveway for easier access \n  \nContinuing Business—Issues and Updates: \n\nLittle Free Library—Catie Morales donated sign and dog leash hook—thanks!\n\n  \nContinuing Business—Upcoming Events:  \n\nCommunity Yard Sale—Sep 23\, 7am-1pm\, POC: Erick Arraya\nDumpster Day—Sep 30\, 7am-12pm (or when full) POC: Rick Jones    company–ESI\n\n–needed–2 more volunteers from MCA and 4 volunteers from FCE \n\nMovie Night—Oct 7\, 7pm at FCE pool parking Lot POC: Sarah Koch\nFeed the firefighters—Nov 11\n\n–provided for Fairfax Station firefighters \n\nHalloween parade—Oct 28 POC: needed\n\n–we need to get permit application processed soon \n  \nNew Business:  \n\nShred event at St. Mary’s church–Oct 21\n\n  \nAdjournment: 8:15pm \nPlace of next meeting: Oct 5       7:30pm           at Bonnie Brae ES \n(Tim will reserve space at the school) \n  \n
