DESCRIPTION:Judging Categories/Criteria  \n01. Williamsburg Award – Decorations are in the classic Williamsburg style. All lights must be white – no colored lights. May use candles\, evergreens (real or artificial)\, ribbons and fruit displays over doorways\, windows\, etc. Spotlights may be used to enhance the appearance of the evergreen or fruit displays. Figures are not included in this display category.  \n02. Traditional Award – Lights can be any color\, any style and may frame the house\, and/or be draped over bushes\, trees or other parts of the yard and home. Figures\, like Santa\, snowman\, deer or other seasonal creatures may be used. Spotlights may be used to enhance the display.  \n03. Wattage Award – Consists of large\, extensive display of colored and/or white lights and figures (animated or not). Can include lights on the house\, roof\, trees\, bushes\, fences\, walkways\, basketball hoops or other yard features. It is all about volume\, with a touch of amazement.  \n04. Judges Special Award – Awarded to a home that uses a unique technique to achieve a special decorative and/or festive holiday display. This may include styles or themes that do not quite fit any of the above categories or may be a mixture of several categories.  \n05. Group Award – Awarded to a group of three or more houses that are similarly decorated and that present a consistent look for the Holiday spirit. Any tasteful decorating style can be used. Each house will receive recognition.

DESCRIPTION:Scholarship applications for the 2023/24 school year are now being accepted. The Middleridge Civic Association awards up to three one-year\, non-renewable scholarships to graduating high school seniors whose parents/guardians are members in good standing of the Middleridge Civic Association as of March 1\, 2024. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement\, extracurricular activities\, and a personal interview.  \nThe scholarship committee will review all applications submitted by April 1 and select finalists for personal interviews. The personal interview will be conducted by the scholarship committee. All interviews will be concluded by April 30\, 2024.  \nThe application must be completed by the student applying for the scholarship. SUMMARY:Halloween Parade and Party
DESCRIPTION:Prepare yourselves for a howlin’ good time at our second largest event of the year where over 200 family members dress up and participate in a fabulous afternoon of fun and laughter. \n  \n   Meet at the top of Broadwater Drive and James Halley Drive and parade down Broadwater to Middleridge Park. \n   At the park participants will enjoy candy\, popcorn\, drinks\, and games. If we get enough volunteers\, we will also recreate our haunted trail! \n   All residents of Middleridge and Fairfax Club Estates (furry ones included) are invited to join us. Costumes are encouraged! \n   For those who prefer to cheer neighbors on\, please line the streets on the way to the park and cheer for the fantastic costumes as they stroll by. \n   Please contact Board@middleridgeffx.com if you can help us decorate and prepare for this event. We will have Signup Genius in the coming weeks.
